Key Responsibilities
Deliver theoretical and practical lessons in Mechanical Engineering (Production Option).
Prepare and implement comprehensive lesson plans based on the approved TVET curriculum.
Monitor, evaluate, and record student progress, conducting regular assessments and internal exams.
Manage the engineering workshop, including the maintenance of equipment and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Provide mentorship and career guidance to students preparing for national examinations and technical careers.
Update and refine course materials to stay aligned with current industry trends and technology.
Requirements and Qualifications
Academic Background: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Production Option).
Pedagogical Training: Must possess a Diploma in Technical Education from the Kenya School of TVET (formerly KTTC).
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of teaching or training experience in a technical institution.
Technical Expertise: Proficient in mechanical production processes and the operation of workshop machinery.
