The Manager, Internal Financial Control & Regulatory Reporting provides strategic leadership to ensure full compliance with IFRS and other applicable accounting standards while driving excellence in financial reporting across the Group.
This role is central to leading and technically executing internal financial control processes and practices. The manager monitors adherence to the approved Group Internal Financial Control framework to continuously enhance, influence, and shape the internal financial control capability across the Group.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversees and drives quality assurance of general finance processes and practices within all legal entities to ensure alignment with the Internal Financial Control framework.
- Manages and coordinates all audit activities, acting as the primary liaison with internal and external auditors.
- Ensures timely preparation of deliverables, resolution of audit queries, and implementation of recommendations, thereby promoting strong governance, transparency, and continuous improvement across financial operations.
- Leads the implementation of internal financial control frameworks.
- Drives IFRS and accounting standards compliance.
- Ensures accurate balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation.
- Focuses on risk identification and mitigation in financial operations.
- Engages with stakeholders across finance and audit teams effectively.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education and Professional Certification:
- First Degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Business Commerce, Finance and Accounting, or any other related field.
- Professional Certification: CPA (K) and ACCA is required.
Minimum Experience: 5 - 7 years, including experience in the following areas:
- External Audit.
- Designing and implementing internal financial control frameworks.
- Driving IFRS and accounting standards compliance.
- Balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation.
- Quality assurance of finance processes across entities.
- Enhancing internal control capability and governance.
- Risk identification and mitigation in financial operations.
- Stakeholder engagement across finance and audit teams.
