As the Manager for Data, Insights & Analytics for East and Central Africa (ECAF) at The Coca-Cola Company, you will lead the end-to-end Business Performance Reporting function. This role ensures that all reporting outputs are timely, accurate, and strategically aligned to support senior leadership in decision-making. You will be responsible for driving the transformation of reporting processes through automation and innovative analytics, serving as a primary insights partner to cross-functional leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy: Lead end-to-end Business Performance Reporting; drive the transformation of reporting processes using automation and new analytics approaches; serve as a primary insights partner by providing strategic recommendations rooted in data.
Performance Reporting: Own the Monthly Rolling Estimate (MRE) process and lead monthly Franchise Performance Reviews, consolidating volume trends, forecasts, market share metrics, and KPIs.
Market & Sales Insights: Oversee the delivery of Nielsen reporting, including weekly summaries, Pricing Scorecards, and regional insights; ensure reporting accuracy for data informing marketing and commercial strategies.
Advanced Analytics: Produce strategic Quarterly Business Reports identifying trends, risks, and opportunities; lead the Annual Industry Estimates process for a unified ECAF business story.
Knowledge Management: Manage updates to the ECAF Factbook, ensuring comprehensive representation of market dynamics and competitive landscapes.
Business Planning Support: Support annual and long-range business planning with robust datasets and analytical insights across channels and categories.
Vendor & Data Ecosystem Management: Oversee relationships with key data partners (Nielsen, Numerator, Beach) ensuring data quality and team capability building.
Innovation: Identify and recommend enhancements to systems, data workflows, and platforms to improve reporting speed and accuracy.
Project Leadership: Lead or support cross-functional special projects requiring deep analytics or insight generation.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field (relevant work experience may substitute for formal education).
Minimum 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business performance reporting, or insights roles.
At least 2+ years of direct experience with Nielsen data is required.
Experience in the beverage or FMCG industry is a strong advantage.
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets and translate insights into compelling storytelling.
Strong command of analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization platforms.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
