SBM Bank Kenya is seeking a Manager, Corporate Treasury to oversee the management of the corporate dealing and sales function within the department. The role involves coordinating branch sales activities to ensure that the corporate dealing budget is delivered, while providing leadership and strategic direction for marketing foreign exchange (FX) products.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Develop strategies for marketing FX products and ensure the bank's FX strategy is effectively executed through its branch network.
Client & Branch Coordination: Coordinate corporate dealer meetings with clients and handle day-to-day treasury-related queries from both branches and clients.
Team Management: Manage and supervise corporate dealers, ensuring they are proactive in executing call reports. You will also deputize for the Head of Treasury, coaching and developing a high-performance team.
Problem Solving: Identify customer needs and offer effective solutions promptly. Support the arbitration of branch Forex-related issues with Branch Managers and Assistant Branch Managers.
Accountability: Maintain delegated authority and oversee the management of the dealing room.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Must be a Business graduate from an accredited university. An MBA in Finance or Strategic Management is considered an added advantage.
Experience: At least five years of proven experience in a senior position within a Forex Department of a reputable bank.
Certifications: Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CFA, or an ACI dealing certificate are required.
Technical Skills: High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and a thorough understanding of Forex procedures and practices.
