As a Maintenance Team Lead at Mars, you would be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient workflow of the Maintenance Team to support optimal availability of our production and utility facilities. You will organize and lead resources to deliver preventative and corrective plant maintenance with safety and quality at the forefront. Similarly, you will be responsible for motivating and developing your team, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating with the site technical leadership team to deliver world-class maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead a team of maintenance technicians and a maintenance planner to create and implement planned preventative maintenance plans to maximize factory performance and output.
Associate Development: Build a high-performing team by developing associates individually and as a group, driving engagement through coaching, and managing personal development plans.
Operational Excellence: Lead corrective maintenance activities to resolve high-priority factory issues and oversee the design and execution of a robust maintenance program for all factory assets.
Strategic Contribution: As a member of the Site Technical Leadership team, you will help shape the maintenance strategy and drive the capabilities and performance of all team members.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure that all maintenance activities, including those performed by contractors, conform to Mars' fundamental standards, procedures, and policies for Safety and Quality.
Requirements & Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical maintenance management within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in people management.
Proficiency in using data for root cause analysis of complex problems (e.g., 5 Whys, FRCA, FMEA).
Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tools and continuous improvement concepts.
Self-starter with efficient work methods and strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, consulting, presentation, and facilitation).
Experience in safety and food safety risk assessments within a food manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of SAP, particularly the PM (Plant Maintenance) Modules.
