Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Officer to support our logistics and operations functions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in operations and logistics, strong vendor management skills, and a solid understanding of supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily logistics operations to ensure efficiency and timeliness.
Maintain accurate logistics documentation, including delivery notes and dispatch records.
Manage relationships with suppliers, transporters, and service providers.
Negotiate with vendors and ensure adherence to agreed service levels.
Support operational workflows to ensure smooth process flow across the department.
Assist in monitoring stock levels, deliveries, and inventory movement.
Ensure proper handling and storage of materials in line with food industry standards.
Prepare daily and weekly logistics reports.
Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
Education: Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
Experience: 2–5 years of experience in logistics or operations, preferably within a food industry setup.
Vendor Management: Strong vendor and supplier management experience.
Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of logistics workflows and inventory processes.
Skills: Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP/logistics systems is an added advantage.
