Job Description
Marriott International is looking for a Lodge Manager to oversee the operations of a luxury property in Narok. This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, SARV Management Pty Ltd. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. and solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices. If you accept this position, you will be employed by the franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
Role Overview
The Lodge Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing daily operations to ensure an exceptional guest experience while maintaining financial and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service Excellence: Ensure all guests receive high-quality, personalized service and that luxury standards are consistently met.
Operation Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the lodge, ensuring coordination between all departments.
Team Leadership and People Management: Lead and mentor the lodge team to foster a high-performance culture.
Financial Management: Oversee budgets, control expenses, and manage the financial performance of the property.
Conservation and Sustainability: Implement and monitor sustainability and conservation initiatives within the lodge.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree (BA/BSc) or HND in Hospitality Management or a related field.
Experience: 3 years or more of experience as a Lodge Manager, Hotel Manager, or Rooms Division Manager in a luxury camp or resort.
Preferred Experience: Previous experience within Marriott luxury hotels, camps, or resorts.
Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience in lodge and resort management.
