Job Description
As a Loading Supervisor at Safal Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the logistics and material handling operations at the warehouse or manufacturing facility. This role involves coordinating with transporters, managing loading staff, and ensuring that goods are handled safely and efficiently to meet delivery schedules. The position requires a detail-oriented professional with experience in ERP-based supply chain management and strong leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Tasks
Logistics Coordination: Liaise with transporters, outsourced loading service providers, and internal teams to manage schedules, vehicle placement, and routes for timely loading and delivery.
Supervising Loading Staff: Assign loaders and unloaders to specific docks, monitor performance, and conduct handover meetings during shift changes to update teams on ongoing activities.
Material Handling: Supervise the handling of various goods, including Prime finished goods, seconds, and scrap; ensure proper use of material handling equipment (MHE) like cranes and forklifts.
Safety and Quality Control: Oversee loading procedures, lashing, and arrangement of cargo to prevent damage in transit, and ensure adherence to safety regulations and company standards as provided for by product care regulations.
Documentation and Tracking: Maintain records of shipments, update loading/unloading details, prepare logistics receipts, and track vehicles to confirm delivery status.
Collaboration: Coordinate with the Logistics Manager, Security Manager, and on-site staff to facilitate smooth operations, resolve loading-related issues, and maintain relationships with internal customers.
Supply Chain Administration
Adhere to Company standards and policies in addition to all regulatory requirements.
Support and implement Company initiatives to achieve performance, quality, and safety metrics.
Implement and drive a continuous improvement program in the Logistics function.
Maintain 100% accuracy in documentation, data management, and compliance with SOPs.
Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency.
Requirements and Qualifications
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Minimum academic qualification: Diploma in Supply Chain Management.
Certified Course in Supply Chain is an added advantage.
Experience Required
3+ years of general work experience in ERP-based Supply Chain.
At least 1 year of experience in a Supervisory role.
Industry experience in Manufacturing or Consumer goods is required.
