The Legal Officer II (3 Posts) will be responsible for providing legal advisory services to the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) and supporting the Board Secretariat. The role involves managing legal risks, interpreting legal information, and ensuring institutional compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare legal opinions and provide comprehensive legal advice to the Authority.
Conduct legal risk reviews and interpret legal information for various departments.
Conduct training sessions and disseminate relevant legal information to staff.
Handle pre-litigation legal disputes and institutional inquiries.
Assist in developing guidelines to ensure compliance with KeNHA’s collaboration and partnerships policy framework and strategy.
Monitor and review ongoing court cases.
Conduct research on legal issues within the agency's mandate and perform necessary investigations.
Prepare detailed legal reports for management and stakeholders.
Job Specifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized institution.
A Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
Admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid Practicing Certificate.
Current membership in good standing with the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).
Proficiency in computer applications.
