Guaranty Trust Bank Plc is seeking a qualified and experienced Legal Officer to join our team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will provide legal support, ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks, and manage litigation and contracts for the institution.
Key Responsibilities & Scope
Provide litigation management, contract review, drafting, and negotiation.
Maintain accurate litigation databases and document management systems.
Ensure flawless legal contracts and reports.
Ensure institutional adherence to banking regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB).
Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
At least 3 years' Post Admission experience in a busy Commercial Law Firm or in the Banking Industry.
Experience in Litigation Management, Contract Review, Drafting, and Negotiation.
Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework specific to the Banking sector.
In-depth understanding of banking operations, securities, and debt recovery laws.
Familiarity with banking regulations to ensure institutional adherence.
Ability to maintain accurate litigation databases, document management systems, and ensuring flawless legal contracts and reports.
