Mama Ngina University College (MNUC) is a student-centered institution dedicated to producing innovative, scientifically grounded, ethical, and holistic graduates. We are currently seeking a qualified Lecturer in Mathematics and Computer Science (REF: MNUC/L/SPAS/DCIT/002/2026).
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lectures to undergraduate and graduate students in Mathematics and Computer Science.
Facilitate tutorials and provide academic mentorship to students.
Conduct original research and contribute to the institution's academic output.
Develop and update course curricula and teaching materials.
Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and university service.
Engage in community outreach and professional development activities.
Requirements and Person Specifications
An earned PhD in Applied Mathematics/Computational Mathematics from an accredited and recognized University.
A Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics/Computational Mathematics from an accredited and recognized University.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of specialization from an accredited and recognized University.
At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the University level or in research/industry.
A minimum of 24 publication points, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed journal papers.
Evidence of attendance and contribution at conferences, seminars, or workshops.
Current registration by relevant professional statutory bodies and membership in a professional association is an added advantage.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Terms of Service
Employment will be on permanent and pensionable terms.
Remuneration will be as per the Inter Public University Councils Consultative Forum (IPUCCF) and 2021-2025 CBA approved salary rates.
