Zetech University invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and highly motivated individuals to fill the position of Lecturer in History. Key Duties and Responsibilities
Teach courses assigned by the Head of Department in their respective areas of specialization.
Design, develop, plan, and deliver academic programmes and course units at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including new programmes where applicable.
Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, practicals, and fieldwork as appropriate to the discipline.
Review course content and teaching materials regularly to ensure relevance, quality, and alignment with current developments in the discipline.
Collaborate with academic colleagues on curriculum development, programme review, and enhancement of teaching and learning.
Conduct research and prepare competitive research grant proposals.
Seek and participate in consultancies and other scholarly and professional engagements.
Present research findings at national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Publish and disseminate research outputs in reputable scholarly outlets.
Provide mentorship, academic advising, and career guidance to students and junior staff.
Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committees and other academic activities.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisors or as provided for in the detailed job description.
Qualifications and Experience
A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
Registration with, or eligibility for registration with, the relevant professional body where applicable.
Demonstrated university-level teaching and research experience.
