Job Description
South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) is a fully fledged University and the successor to the South Eastern University College (SEUCO), which was a Constituent College of the University of Nairobi. The University is currently seeking to recruit a qualified and competent individual for the position of Lecturer Grade 6a specializing in Criminology and Social Justice.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lectures and course materials to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Criminology and Social Justice.
Conduct original research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals to contribute to the field and university profile.
Supervise student research projects, including theses and dissertations at various levels.
Participate in the development and review of academic curricula within the department.
Provide academic mentorship and guidance to students.
Engage in university administrative committees and departmental activities.
Contribute to community service and outreach programs initiated by the university.
Requirements
Must have an earned PhD in Criminology & Social Justice or an equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized University.
Must be registered or registerable with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications.
Must satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and Integrity.
