Lecturer - Department of Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lectures and facilitate practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
• Develop, review, and update academic curricula to reflect current industry trends and academic standards.
• Conduct original research in relevant areas of specialization and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
• Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other administrative duties as required by the university.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Must possess a Masters degree in a relevant area of specialization from a recognized University.
• At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the University level, or equivalent experience in Research or Industry.
• Candidates with four (4) years of teaching experience in a tertiary institution will also be considered.
• A PhD degree in a relevant area of specialization is highly desirable and will be considered an added advantage.
• Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence and research.
