Job Description
Kenyatta University is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as a Lecturer. This academic role involves teaching, research, and providing leadership within the medical department to enhance the quality of education and clinical practice.
Responsibilities
Deliver academic lectures and clinical instruction to students within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Conduct and publish high-quality research in relevant areas of medical specialization.
Engage with the medical industry and research institutions to stay updated on clinical advancements.
Participate in curriculum development and university administrative tasks.
Provide mentorship and academic guidance to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
Qualifications and Experience
Academic Background: Masters degree in relevant areas of specialization from a recognized University.
Teaching Experience: At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the University level, or significant experience in Research or Industry.
Alternative Experience: Candidates with four (4) years of teaching experience in a tertiary institution will also be considered.
Added Advantage: A PhD degree in a relevant area of specialization is highly desirable.
