Kenyatta University is seeking a dedicated and qualified Lecturer for the Department of Medical Physiology. The successful candidate will contribute to the academic excellence of the department through teaching, research, and administrative support. This position requires delivering instruction across various university campuses and advancing the field of medical physiology through scholarly activities.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Deliver high-quality lectures and tutorials in Medical Physiology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Develop and update curriculum materials and course outlines to reflect current scientific advancements in the field.
Conduct original research in medical physiology and seek publication in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
Supervise student research projects, theses, and practical laboratory sessions.
Participate in departmental meetings, committee work, and other academic administrative tasks.
Assess student performance through examinations, coursework, and practical evaluations.
Provide mentorship and academic advising to students to support their professional growth.
Qualifications and Requirements
Must possess a Masters degree in a relevant area of specialization from a recognized University.
At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the University level, or equivalent experience in Research or Industry.
Candidates with four (4) years of teaching experience in a tertiary institution will also be considered.
A PhD degree in a relevant area of specialization will be considered a significant added advantage.
