Job Description
Kenyatta University is a multi-campus public university in Kenya looking to recruit a Lecturer for the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The role involves delivering high-quality academic instruction, conducting research, and contributing to the administrative and community engagement goals of the university.
Responsibilities
Deliver lectures and practical sessions to undergraduate and potentially postgraduate students in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Conduct original research and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
Participate in departmental meetings, committee work, and other academic administrative tasks.
Supervise student projects, research work, and internships.
Provide mentorship and academic advising to students.
Qualifications and Experience
Must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant area of specialization from a recognized University.
At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the University level, or equivalent experience in Research or Industry.
Candidates with four (4) years of teaching experience in a tertiary institution will also be considered.
Possession of a PhD degree in a relevant area of specialization is considered an added advantage.
