Job Description
Kenyatta University is inviting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Lecturer within the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering. This is an academic role aimed at delivering excellence in teaching, research, and community service. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth of the department by mentoring students and advancing academic standards through rigorous instruction and scholarly activity.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the field of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering.
Conduct innovative research and publish results in recognized academic journals.
Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
Participate in curriculum development and review to ensure alignment with industry and academic standards.
Engage in departmental and university-level administrative tasks and committees.
Contribute to community outreach and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: A Master’s degree in a relevant area of specialization from a recognized University.
Experience: At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the University level, or equivalent experience in Research or Industry.
Alternative Qualification: Candidates with four (4) years of teaching experience in a tertiary institution will also be considered.
Additional Advantage: Possession of a PhD degree in a relevant area of specialization is highly desirable.
