Kenyatta University is a multi-campus public university in Kenya and is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Lecturer within the Department of Accounting and Finance. The role involves teaching, conducting research, and providing academic leadership within the department.
Job Purpose and Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of Accounting and Finance.
Conduct original research and contribute to the university's research output through publications.
Supervise student research projects and theses.
Participate in curriculum development and review to ensure alignment with industry standards.
Contribute to departmental and university administrative duties and committees.
Engage in community outreach and professional development activities.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant area of specialization from a recognized University.
Teaching Experience: At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the University level, or experience in Research or Industry.
Alternative Experience: Candidates with four (4) years of teaching experience in a tertiary institution will also be considered.
Preferred Qualification: A PhD degree in a relevant area of specialization is considered a significant added advantage.
