Role Overview
BURN is looking for a Learning & Development (L&D) Training Lead who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the organisation’s learning strategy to enhance employee capability, performance, and engagement. The role will drive training initiatives aligned with business objectives, ensure effective delivery of learning programs, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
Content Management: Create, modify, customise, and maintain training content to achieve business goals.
Program Design: Conceptualise and design behavioural programs across levels of employees, leadership building by calendarizing regular soft-skills sessions and management training.
Needs Assessment: Work with line Managers across the team to determine areas of focus, gaps, and upskilling/reskilling areas required by the business teams.
Career Development: Help managers develop their team members through career pathing.
Communication Strategy: Implement and suggest an effective L&D communication plan and strategy to manage participants' lifecycle (registration, cancellation, logistics, and database management).
LMS Management: Manage and own the Learning Management System (LMS), its usage, reporting, and maximise user learning.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with Learning and Development policy.
Workshop Facilitation: Design and structure learning courses, career plans, and workshops.
Framework Implementation: Develop and implement the competency framework.
Budget & Vendor Management: Manage the Learning budget, track expenditures, and negotiate contracts with external vendors.
Performance Monitoring: Create and maintain processes to monitor the health and effectiveness of training interactions and the return on investment (ROI) for the business.
External Liaison: Liaise with external partners as needed for technical training.
Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from trainees and trainers after each session to improve future offerings.
Skills and Experience
Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, management, or a related field is required.
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in learning and development, training, or a related field.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with learning principles, instructional design, and learning methodologies.
Trends: Familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in the learning and development field is beneficial.
Leadership: Strong leadership and management skills are crucial for overseeing a team and driving performance improvement initiatives.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Analytical Skills: The ability to analyse performance data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Professional Membership: IHRM Membership is required.
