Job Description
The National Quality Control Laboratory (NQCL), a State Corporation under the Ministry of Health, is seeking to recruit a Laboratory Technologist III (Sample Management) on a one-year contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting laboratory operations through the implementation of standard procedures, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and managing analytical waste.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the laboratory section.
Implement section plans and individual work plans as directed.
Clean bins and benches and ensure the proper disposal of analytical waste according to regulations.
Maintain reorder levels for waste disposal bags to ensure continuous operation.
Adhere strictly to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) requirements when handling substances.
Implement and maintain the Bio-safety and Bio-security framework within the laboratory.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade (NQCL 10), a candidate must have:
A Professional Certificate in Science Laboratory Technology, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Medical Laboratory, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
