Naivasha Water and Sanitation Company Ltd (NAIVAWASCO) is seeking a Laboratory Technician to monitor and enforce strict compliance with water and sewage treatment standards. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that all processed water and effluent meet approved quality specifications through rigorous sampling, chemical analysis, and laboratory oversight.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Monitor and enforce strict compliance with water and sewage treatment standards.
Ensure all processed water and effluent meet approved quality specifications.
Conduct rigorous sampling and monitoring of water and effluent quality.
Perform chemical analysis of water and wastewater samples.
Oversee laboratory operations and maintain equipment.
Document analysis results and prepare technical reports on quality compliance.
Requirements and Qualifications
Academic Qualifications: Must possess a Diploma in Water and Wastewater Laboratory Technology or its equivalent.
Professional Qualifications: Membership to a Water Quality association or its equivalent will be considered an added advantage.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience is required. At least two (2) of these years must have been served at a public water utility specifically in a water quality role.
