Pulse is Kenya's leading innovative media company, informing and engaging Kenya's young audience while providing expansive media reach and creative marketing solutions to our partners. We are looking for a Junior Digital Copywriter/Social Media Manager to join our team in Nairobi. The role involves the end-to-end process of social media management, from ideation and content creation to strategic posting, community management, and performance reporting.
Responsibilities
Ideation: Lead the process of ideation for Social Media content creations for existing and potential clients.
Content Creation: Create content (independently or in collaboration with the Graphics Team), including handling revisions from clients and internal teams.
Posting: Post created content strategically and according to plan on the right channels. Manage media budgets to boost content for optimal performance against KPIs.
Community Management: Respond to comments and direct messages in a timely and professional manner.
Reporting: Report links posted and performance metrics achieved in the required formats and timelines.
Recommendations: Summarize learnings and provide recommendations for future improvements.
Optimization: Continuously monitor reports and data to optimize content daily, considering past learnings, algorithm changes, and emerging trends.
Innovation: Stay updated with the latest Social Media channels and trends. Conduct competitor analysis and share information with the Content team.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with Account Management, Graphics, Sales, and Content teams to deliver high-quality outcomes and maintain a positive learning environment.
Requirements
Education: BA/BSc/HND qualification.
Knowledge: Digital marketing knowledge and proficiency in social media platforms and tools are mandatory.
Copywriting: Junior-level copywriting skills.
Soft Skills: Organizational excellence, interpersonal communication skills, and high attention to detail.
Professionalism: Discretion, confidentiality, and the ability to work under pressure to meet demanding targets.
Creative Thinking: Initiative combined with commercial awareness and a real understanding of the digital advertising sphere.
Workflow Management: Ability to manage timelines within the digital marketing department to meet client needs.
Additional Skills: Graphic design skills would be an added advantage.
