Job Description
The IT Manager at Safal Group is responsible for overseeing the IT ecosystem within the business unit, ensuring technology alignment with corporate goals, managing infrastructure, and driving digital transformation through ERP systems and cybersecurity protocols. The role acts as the primary liaison between business units and IT for technology solutions, risk management, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Alignment: Manage the business unit IT portfolio and align localized initiatives with Group IT plans and company business objectives.
Liaison & Relationship Management: Act as the key contact for business units to deliver technology solutions, service management, and risk management.
Policy Enforcement: Enforce IT policies, cybersecurity measures, and compliance, localizing group policies as needed.
Infrastructure Oversight: Manage IT infrastructure including SD-WAN, LAN, servers, CCTV, telephony, end-user devices, and plant technologies.
User Experience: Serve as an ambassador between IT and other departments to improve user experience and analyze business requirements for ERP and technology needs.
Project Management: Coordinate local IT projects, application change requests, and product testing while liaising with Group IT for ecosystem alignment.
Asset & Budget Management: Oversee procurement, cost-effective IT asset lifecycle management, and develop/control the IT budget.
Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure cost efficiency.
System Monitoring: Inspect, monitor, and upgrade IT systems to ensure functionality and business efficiency.
Collaboration: Effective planning and execution of Information Technology projects and solutions within the business and collaboration with the Group IT function.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (focus on business operations & management); a Master’s degree in Business Administration or an IT-related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a senior IT role within a complex environment.
Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with ERP projects (SAP S/4HANA preferred) and knowledge of innovative technologies such as SD-WAN, Cybersecurity, IIoT, and AI.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
Competencies: Strong leadership, strategic thinking, diagnostic skills, and negotiation expertise.
Communication: Excellent proficiency in English and the ability to influence senior stakeholders on technical issues.
