Job Description
Africa Global Logistics (AGL), a leading multimodal logistics operator and part of the MSC family, is seeking an Inventory Clerk - Sorting for its operations in Nairobi. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of warehouse inventory through precise documentation, system management, and adherence to established logistics protocols. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking the movement of goods and ensuring that inventory data is accurate and up-to-date in the warehouse management system.
Key Responsibilities
Document all Inbound and Outbound stock movements within the relevant warehouse management systems (WMS).
Generate timely and accurate picklists based on FIFO (First-In, First-Out), FEFO (First-to-Expire, First-Out), and Batch numbers for order processing.
Perform daily WMS checks to verify product status, including put-away location, expiry dates, lot numbers, locks, and quality.
Participate in monthly stock-takes and contribute to inventory reporting.
Conduct spot checks on operational documentation to ensure compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Adhere to daily cycle count schedules and provide reports on inventory accuracy.
Maintain 100% stock accuracy at storage locations through physical and system-based cycle count activities.
Generate or split move internal License Plate Numbers (iLPNs) for damaged products at reserve locations.
Lock all iLPNs with damages or quality issues and escalate findings in real-time.
Ensure all staged orders are ship-confirmed and closed by the end of every shift.
Comply with all SOP and QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations.
Record and report any damages, losses, or surpluses of stock to the Warehouse Supervisor, Inventory Analyst, and Inventory Controller.
Execute delegated tasks from warehouse management or higher authority.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Studies, or an equivalent qualification.
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a Warehouse or Logistics environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using WMS-SPEED (Warehouse Management System).
