Sheer Logic Management Consultants (SLMC) is seeking a dedicated Internet Installer to join their team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of internet systems at customer premises, ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with dispatch for daily appointments and scheduling.
Ensure the use of proper identification, safety equipment, and courtesy tools at all times.
Test electrical equipment and systems to ensure routers and internet services are functioning correctly.
Handle material staging and transport for installations at customer sites.
Guide, coordinate, and oversee the work of fellow installers.
Educate customers on product benefits and identify opportunities for up-selling add-on products.
Monitor and evaluate the performance and quality standards of sub-contractors within specific infrastructure boundaries.
Maintain all installation tools and equipment in safe, working order.
Provide clear instructions to customers on the features and functionality of installed products.
Complete assigned tasks within the specified time frames.
Assist with inventory management, including parts, shipping, and receiving.
Review and complete necessary paperwork with customers.
Perform physical tasks such as crawling into small spaces and working in various climates.
Qualifications and Requirements
A College Degree is preferred.
Previous trade experience in a similar role is a significant advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Comfortable working at heights and using ladders.
Possession of a valid motorcycle or motorcar driver’s license.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Specific technical skills such as fiber splicing and racking are required.
Strong attention to detail and active listening skills to address client concerns.
Must be physically fit and capable of working in challenging environments.
