Internal Auditor

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, assess, and monitor organizational risks, recommending appropriate mitigation measures and control improvements.
• Evaluate governance, risk management, and internal control systems, and monitor implementation of corrective actions.
• Investigate suspected fraud, irregularities, and policy violations, and recommend preventive measures.
• Prepare audit reports, present findings to Management and the Audit Committee, and track implementation of audit recommendations.
• Provide advisory support on governance, risk management, internal controls, policy reviews, and the implementation of new systems and processes to promote operational efficiency and accountability.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA(K), ACCA, CIA, CISA, or an equivalent certification.
• Membership in a relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance, or external audit, preferably within the healthcare sector.
• Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, internal control systems, financial reporting, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in audit methodologies, data analysis, and computerized accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information.
