Internal Auditor

PC Kinyanjui Technical Training Institute is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Internal Auditor (REF No: PC KTTI/ADMN/004/2026). The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and assessing the institute's financial and operational activities to ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and statutory guidelines.

Role Overview

The Internal Auditor will evaluate risk management, control, and governance processes within the institution, ensuring that financial reporting meets public sector guidelines and operations are conducted with high levels of integrity and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in any of the following fields: Commerce, Business Management (Finance / Accounting option), or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Professional Credentials: Must be a CPA (K) and a registered member of the Institute of Internal Auditors in good standing. Must also be a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP).
• Experience: At least three (3) years' experience in an Audit Department, preferably in a TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) institution.
• Technical Skills: Certificate in computer proficiency for accounting packages from a recognized institution. Strong knowledge of relevant legislations.
• Financial Reporting: Deep understanding of financial reporting guidelines in the public sector.
• Personal Attributes: Shown merit, integrity, and exceptional ability as reflected in work performance and results.
