The County Assembly of Bungoma is inviting applications for the position of Intern – Technician (Plumbing). This role is part of the legislative arm of the County Government of Bungoma and is intended to support the Facilities Management function. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of plumbing systems, water supply installations, and sanitation facilities within the Assembly premises, ensuring a safe and functional working environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assist in the maintenance and routine inspection of plumbing systems and water supply installations.
Help in repairing sanitation facilities and troubleshooting plumbing issues across the Assembly's buildings.
Ensure that all water and sanitation installations are compliant with relevant standards and safety regulations.
Support the Facilities Management team in day-to-day operational tasks.
Participate in identifying facility needs and providing technical support for plumbing-related upgrades.
Qualifications and Requirements
Must be a Kenyan citizen aged between 18 and 35 years.
Must hold a Diploma in Plumbing and Water Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution.
Must have successfully completed studies within the last two (2) years.
A mandatory recommendation or introduction letter from the learning institution is required.
Hands-on experience in plumbing installations or maintenance is considered an added advantage.
Knowledge of Kenya's water and sanitation regulations and standards is an added advantage.
A valid certificate of competence from the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) or an equivalent body is also an added advantage.
