Unison Sacco Society Limited is seeking an Insurance Principal Agent Assistant to support business growth, agency operations, regulatory compliance, and partner relations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Business Growth and Development: Drive sales production targets and expand insurance operations.
Branch Channel Enablement: Coordinate cross-selling across Sacco branches and empower branch staff.
Agency Operations and Administration: Oversee daily agency workflows, record-keeping, and operational efficiency.
Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to insurance regulatory standards and risk guidelines.
Underwriter and Partner Relations: Manage partnerships with underwriting institutions and key stakeholders.
Customer Service and Claims Support: Facilitate smooth claims processing and provide excellent member/customer support.
Agency Performance Management and Reporting: Monitor performance metrics and compile detailed progress reports.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Insurance.
Proficiency in computer operations and applications.
At least 4 years in insurance, either in agency, bancassurance, or underwriting, with a minimum of 2 years in business development or a supervisory capacity, and a demonstrated record of meeting production targets.
Exposure to the SACCO or cooperative sector and experience setting up or growing a new agency or business line.
Driving License (Class C).
Added Advantage: Diploma of the Association of Insurance Institute of Kenya (AIIK), progress toward ACII or CII, or membership of a relevant professional body.
