This is the entry and training grade for diploma and technician part II certificate holders. An officer at this level will work under the guidance and close supervision of a senior officer. The primary purpose of this role is to provide agricultural engineering works, services, and mechanization extension within the county.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provision of agricultural engineering works and services.
Offering agricultural mechanization extension services to farmers and stakeholders.
Assisting in farm power, surveying, soil, and water conservation activities.
Working closely under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer to acquire necessary skills and experience.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an applicant must have:
A Diploma in the field of agricultural engineering such as soil and water, mechanization/farm power, surveying, or any other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution; OR
A Technician Part III Certificate in the field of Agricultural Engineering such as soil and water, mechanization/farm power, structures, surveying, or any other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
