Tetra Pak is looking for an Inside Sales Specialist to join the team in Nairobi, Kenya. This role involves managing identified opportunities within the Services business, specifically focusing on food applications or service categories. You will interact directly with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that drive business value. The position requires approximately 15% travel.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Partnership: Act as a trusted point of contact, understanding customer needs and translating them into technical and commercial solutions.
Opportunity Management: Manage the end-to-end sales process, including shaping solutions, preparing quotes, and presenting proposals using a value-based selling approach.
Account Management: Take responsibility for specific customer accounts as assigned and collaborate with Sales Managers to negotiate and close deals.
Lead Generation: Convert customer needs into new leads, focusing on cross-selling and up-selling relevant products and services.
Marketing Support: Deliver customer presentations, workshops, and webinars to generate interest in specific product categories or segments.
Strategic Planning: Assist in creating and executing sales objectives within account plans alongside Services Key Account Managers (KAM).
Internal Coordination: Share market insights and portfolio gaps with Product Managers, Sales Support, and Portfolio Management teams.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer files and documentation.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A Degree in Engineering (BA/BSc/HND).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales, process engineering, or project management.
Industry Knowledge: Practical experience in food industry processing engineering is essential.
Commercial Acumen: Strong command of sales principles and commercial awareness.
Communication: Fluency in written and spoken English.
Interpersonal Skills: Proven experience in customer-facing roles with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders and resolve cross-functional challenges.
Travel: Willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time.
