The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) is seeking an Information Systems Officer (P3) to manage and implement conferencing technology and support services. This role is pivotal in ensuring the technical success of large-scale international meetings by providing high-level AV and ICT infrastructure support, driving digital transformation, and managing technical teams.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Develop cost proposals, prepare procurement plans, and manage contractual services for conference technology, including overseeing technical evaluations.\n- Gather AV and ICT requirements for both calendar and non-calendar meetings, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions to meet quality standards.\n- Propose and optimize operating procedures to ensure comprehensive end-to-end technology support and compliance.\n- Plan and execute phased upgrades for conferencing facilities and participate in the design of future technical projects.\n- Develop information standards, user documentation, and training materials for conferencing systems.\n- Maintain operational stability through Service Level Agreements (SLA) and implement disaster recovery (DR) simulations and reports.\n- Lead the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools, to improve conference efficiency.\n- Analyze trends and patterns using data visualization to support decision-making.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n- \n - Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Management.\n - Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with two additional years of relevant work experience.\n - Specialized programs in data science or analytics are highly desirable.\n- \n - A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the design, operation, and maintenance of large-scale (>1,000 delegate positions) Conference Management and Simultaneous Interpretation (CMSI) systems.\n - At least two (2) years of experience managing a team of ICT technicians or a service desk.\n - Experience with RSI platforms, Digital Signage, or AV Over IP infrastructure is desirable.\n- \n - Required: ICT/Project Management certifications (ITIL, Prince 2, or PMP).\n - Desirable: AV certifications (CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, Dante, Shure, Bosch, Q-Sys, or Crestron).\n\n### How to Apply\nQualified candidates are invited to apply through the United Nations careers portal.
