Job Description
The Information Management Officer II at the National Crime Research Centre (NCRC) is responsible for the systematic management of organizational records and ensuring the efficient flow of information. The mandate of the NCRC is to carry out research into the causes of crime and its prevention, disseminating findings to Government Agencies. This role supports that mandate by maintaining the integrity, security, and accessibility of the Centre's information assets.
Responsibilities
Receiving, sorting, opening, date stamping, recording, capturing, distributing, retrieving, filing, folioing, shelving, and minuting of mail.
Ensuring proper handling of documents, pending correspondence, and follow-up (bring-up) procedures.
Maintaining the security and confidentiality of files and documents.
Ensuring the organized storage of all files and records.
Scanning and uploading records onto the Integrated Public Records and Information Management System (IPRIMS).
Ensuring that letters are appropriately filed and marked to the relevant action officers.
Maintaining comprehensive files and records and managing the movement of files within the organization.
Dispatching mail and maintaining all related registers.
Undertaking periodic file census and cross-referencing to ensure accuracy.
Requirements and Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
A Bachelor's Degree in any of the following disciplines: Information Science and Records Management, Information Management, Library and Information Sciences, Business Information Technology, Information Studies, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.

Kenya Revenue Authority (Valid Tax Compliance Certificate)
Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Certificate of Good Conduct)
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (Self-Declaration Form)
Credit Reference Bureau (Certificate of Clearance or Credit Report)
