Information Communication Technology Officer (Software Developer)

The County Government of Nyeri is seeking to recruit a qualified Information Communication Technology Officer (Software Developer). The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end software development, including designing, building, and maintaining robust web and mobile applications.\n\n### Duties and Responsibilities\n* Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining web and/or mobile applications.\n* Building user-friendly interfaces and robust backend systems.\n* Writing clean, maintainable, and secure code.\n* Participating in system architecture and database design discussions.\n* Integrating third-party APIs, payment gateways, and cloud services.\n* Troubleshooting software bugs and system issues.\n* Monitoring system performance and recommending improvements.\n* Maintaining proper documentation for systems and processes.\n* Providing technical support to users where necessary.\n* Implementing cybersecurity best practices.\n* Ensuring data protection and system integrity.\n* Supporting backup, recovery, and disaster preparedness measures.\n* Performing any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.\n\n### Requirements for Appointment\nFor appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:\n* Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID).\n* KCPE and KCSE Certificate (Attach certificates).\n* Have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field.\n* Relevant experience of two years and above (Attach evidence).
