In Novonesis, solutions rooted in biology are used to help solve humanity's biggest challenges. As an Industry Technology Specialist for Baking, you will make a significant impact by staying at the forefront of technical developments and generating innovative ideas. This role involves active contribution to product, tool, and service development, identifying and solving complex technical issues, and coordinating technical activities with customers and partners. You will support the Industry Group by qualifying prospects and sales opportunities, providing deep industry insights, and managing laboratory functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Development & Innovation: Stay abreast of technical developments, generate new ideas, and provide input for continuous product and service improvement.
- Problem Solving: Identify and solve complex technical issues and address customer concerns effectively.
- Coordination & Support: Initiate plans and coordinate technical activities between Novonesis, customers, and partners. Support the Industry Group by identifying new application opportunities.
- Laboratory & Experimental Work: Plan and guide lab work according to the Application Qualification Agreement (AQA). Conduct or supervise lab work to meet project expectations and manage external testing.
- Method Development: Develop and adapt new methods and procedures based on the latest bio-solutions.
- Communication & Collaboration: Represent Novonesis to stakeholders on technical issues, utilize Salesforce for collaboration, and engage with the global Technical Services and R&D community.
Requirements
- Education: Master of Science (MSc), MBA, MA or a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Life Science, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the baking, flour milling, pasta, or confectionery industries.
- Technical Skills: Customer-oriented focus with a strong technical understanding and ability to guide laboratory functions.
- Soft Skills: Effective communication, networking, and presentation skills.
