The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is offering an Industrial Attachment program specifically for students pursuing studies in Mechanical Engineering. This program aims to provide students with practical experience and exposure to the working environment of the Authority, allowing them to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting. The program is strictly for a three-month duration and is not extendable.
Responsibilities
While specific duties are tailored to the department's needs, typical responsibilities for a mechanical engineering attache include:
Assisting in the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.
Supporting senior engineers in technical inspections and diagnostic tasks.
Learning and applying safety protocols and regulatory standards in an engineering environment.
Helping with the preparation of technical reports and documentation.
Participating in routine facility or equipment audits.
Requirements
Be a Kenyan Citizen aged below 35 years.
Should be a continuing 1st degree student (Undergraduate) in their 3rd, 4th, or final year of study, or a Diploma student in their final year from a recognized University/College.
Should have a valid introduction letter from the University/College.
Must be available full-time for the three-month duration of the program.
Additional Information
Monthly Stipend: KShs. 7,000 for undergraduates and diploma students (subject to applicable statutory deductions).
Duration: 3 months (non-extendable).
Mandatory Documents (if selected): Proof of a valid Personal Accident Insurance Cover, copies of KRA PIN certificate, NHIF/SHIF, NSSF, ID card, and Bank Account details.
