Role Overview\nSpace for Giants is seeking a skilled ICT Technician for Suyian Ranch to provide comprehensive IT support, maintenance, and specialized programming across multiple conservancies. The role is critical for managing general IT infrastructure, Digital Radio Networks (DRN), LoRa WAN, and Earth Ranger systems. The successful candidate will be required to travel between various conservancy locations to ensure reliable communication and data infrastructure for conservation and security operations.\n\n### Responsibilities\n- Manage, troubleshoot, and maintain all IT infrastructure including desktops, laptops, Wi-Fi, and servers. Perform regular updates, backups, and security checks, as well as install and configure new systems and applications.\n- Responsible for programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting the DRN. This includes oversight of repeater sites and power systems to ensure optimal field coverage.\n- Program, maintain, and monitor LoRa WAN infrastructure, including gateways and sensors, to ensure high performance and reliable data transmission.\n- Provide essential troubleshooting, maintenance, and user support for the Earth Ranger software platform.\n- Maintain an accurate hardware inventory, manage all Radio licenses, and create detailed documentation for network configurations and operational procedures.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n- BA/BSc degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.\n- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT support or network administration.\n- Proven proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP) and administration of Windows/Linux servers.\n- Practical experience with Digital Radio Programming (e.g., Motorola, Kenwood) and deployment of LoRa WAN sensors/gateways.
