The Affordable Housing Board (AHB) is seeking an ICT Officer I to oversee and manage its ICT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and specialized applications. The role is critical for ensuring the security, availability, and integration of systems that support affordable housing initiatives and fund management.
Responsibilities
Administer AHB’s servers, networks, and specialized applications for housing and fund management.
Configure and maintain intranet, email, and communication platforms.
Implement and manage ICT disaster recovery and business continuity protocols.
Prepare technical specifications for ICT equipment, systems, and housing-related software.
Facilitate the integration of AHB systems with national government platforms such as e-Citizen, IFMIS, and Boma Yangu.
Conduct regular security audits and implement necessary corrective measures.
Provide technical training to staff on specialized applications including tenant purchase, estate, and credit management systems.
Generate ICT performance reports and support customer satisfaction surveys.
Manage digital resources and support web-based search and provisioning for the Board.
Monitor and update the performance of ICT systems.
Ensure data integrity through regular on-site and off-site data backups.
Requirements
A minimum of three (3) years’ work experience at the grade of ICT Officer II or in a comparable position.
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Communication and Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics and Computing, Business Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Security and Forensics, Applied Computing, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
At least one Information Technology management certification (e.g., CompTIA Project+, ITIL, CAPM, CGEIT, CSM, CISSP, COBIT).
At least one Information Security certification (e.g., CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GSEC).
Proficiency in Software Development (MCSD, Java, Visual Studio, Python, Oracle, or equivalent).
Proficiency in Database Management (Oracle, SQL, DB2, or equivalent).
Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
