Job Description
The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) is the Drug Regulatory Authority established under the Pharmacy and Poisons Act, Chapter 244 of the Laws of Kenya. The Board regulates the practice of pharmacy and the manufacture and trade in drugs and poisons.
As a Human Resource Officer/Senior, you will be responsible for a variety of HR functions including payroll, recruitment, and record-keeping, ensuring all activities comply with regulatory requirements and the Board's quality management standards.
Key Responsibilities
Verify information related to recruitment processes and performance management.
Assist in the administration of payroll and implement payroll updates.
Implement human resource decisions within existing regulations.
Compile agendas and minutes for the Management Human Resource Advisory Committees.
Update and maintain accurate human resource records in a timely manner.
Process and monitor employee leave records.
Draft official correspondences related to HR matters.
Maintain an up-to-date employee list and personnel files.
Implement and maintain employee training programs.
Participate in staff placement, transfers, and recruitment processes.
Participate in staff exit management and career progression activities.
Carry out various HR service roles as per Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; OR a Bachelor’s degree in any of the Social Sciences plus a Diploma in Human Resource Management.
Professional membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
Proficiency in computer applications.
