The HR Account Manager role is crucial for guiding enterprises, particularly Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), in setting up, managing, and developing their workforce. Fanisi is a HR consulting and management company that supports SMEs to excel in improving the people component of their businesses and organizations by building human capital through developing employee-related policies and practices, and staff training.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Generalist with a strong passion for consulting and a proven track record in supporting SMEs. As an HR Account Manager, you will join a dynamic team responsible for providing expert guidance and support across all human resources areas to client organizations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute on agreed client HR deliverables.
- Manage and meet client expectations.
- Interpret overall business strategy objectives into actionable HR deliverables.
- Provide innovative solutions to client’s HR needs and gaps.
- Support managers within client businesses with their people needs.
- Support the hiring manager in the recruitment and selection processes.
- Understand roles, review Job Descriptions (JDs) and advise clients accordingly.
- Support the client in end-to-end performance management—including goal setting/KPI formulation, performance tracking and evaluations, and implementation of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
- Create and implement robust onboarding and orientation systems.
- Review Client HR handbooks and policies to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant.
- Write HR manuals/handbooks and policies where necessary.
- Advise the company on employee disciplinary matters and sit in hearings.
- Coordinate employee exit processes and procedures.
- In charge of HR Administration and documentation; preparation of JDs, contracts, etc.
- Participate in company culture development.
- Accurately manage payroll systems where necessary.
Required Specifications and Qualifications
- Experience: At least 5 years of work experience in a busy SME environment.
- Consulting Expertise: Experience in an HR Consulting Agency and accounts management.
- Technical Knowledge: Mandatory experience operating a performance management system.
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management (HRM) or a related field (BA/BSc/HND).
- Professional Status: Relevant HR Qualification and Registration.
- Legal Expertise: Thorough understanding of the Kenya labour laws.
