Thika Technical Training Institute is a Government Technical Training institute established under the Ministry of Education, State Department for Vocational and Technical Training. The institute is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Hospitality and Tourism Trainer for Diploma level students. The role involves delivering specialized instruction and ensuring students meet the high standards required for the modern hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
Deliver theoretical and practical training in Food and Beverage, Catering, and Accommodation management.
Plan and prepare instructional materials including lesson plans and course outlines.
Conduct student assessments, including grading examinations and practical evaluations.
Ensure compliance with TVET Authority (TVETA) standards and quality requirements.
Maintain a safe and conducive learning environment within workshops and training kitchens.
Monitor and record student attendance and academic performance.
Requirements
Must possess a Diploma in Food and Beverage, Catering and Accommodation, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Must be licensed by the TVET Authority or meet the necessary requirements for licensing by TVETA.
Ability to mentor and guide students effectively.
