Role Overview: Hospital Matron

The Hospital Matron role at Patanisho Maternity & Nursing Home is crucial for overseeing clinical operations and maintaining high standards of care, particularly within the reproductive health sector.

Requirements

Candidates are required to possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: Must possess a Degree or Higher Diploma in Nursing.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in a reproductive health setup is required, with at least 2 years served specifically as a Deputy Matron.
• Registration and Licensing: Must be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya and hold a valid practicing license.
• Legal Compliance: Must satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (Leadership and Integrity).

Added Advantage

Training in the following areas is considered a significant advantage:

• Basic Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (BEMONC)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
