Role Overview
The Health Systems Associate for the CHQI Project at the University of Nairobi is responsible for participating in the design, planning, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs. This role involves developing study protocols, conducting literature synthesis, and managing data to inform health technology assessments and project outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Program Management: Participate in the design, planning, implementation, and evaluation of public health programmes.
Research & Analysis: Conduct literature surveys and synthesis to support evidence-based interventions.
Protocol Development: Develop, plan, and implement study protocols.
Data Oversight: Manage data collection, perform data analysis, and handle technical report writing.
Public Communication: Create and disseminate materials to communicate project information to the public.
Technology Assessment: Conduct health technology assessments and oversee their implementation.
Supervision: Provide supervision and guidance to study/evaluation assistants.
Job Specification and Requirements
Applicants must satisfy one of the following education and experience pathways:
Pathway 1: MBChB with at least one (1) year of experience post-internship.
Pathway 2: Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with at least five (5) years of relevant public health evaluation experience.
Pathway 3: Diploma in clinical health professional qualifications with at least seven (7) years of experience in delivering public health interventions.
