Role Overview
The Head of Operations & Business Development will lead end-to-end operational performance across energy infrastructure projects while identifying and closing strategic partnerships for market expansion. This is a senior leadership role requiring a blend of technical expertise in renewable energy systems and a strong background in strategic sales and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Execution
- Lead end-to-end operational performance across energy infrastructure projects.
- Oversee ERP and CRM systems to ensure efficiency, reporting accuracy, and process optimization.
- Drive operational scalability and continuous improvement across functions including procurement, logistics, and delivery.
Business Development & Growth
- Identify, structure, and close strategic partnerships and market expansion opportunities.
- Lead go-to-market strategies across regional and international markets.
- Drive revenue growth through strategic sales, partnerships, and market development initiatives.
Strategy & Leadership
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute corporate and market-entry strategies.
- Build, mentor, and manage high-performing cross-functional teams.
- Establish performance metrics and accountability frameworks.
Project & Infrastructure Management
- Lead large-scale energy infrastructure projects with full accountability for delivery, timelines, budgets, and quality.
- Oversee procurement strategy, vendor negotiations, and supply chain optimization.
Fundraising & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support capital raising efforts including investor engagement, development finance institutions, and project financing.
- Prepare investment cases, financial models, and strategic growth narratives.
Marketing & Market Positioning
- Lead market positioning strategies in collaboration with marketing teams to strengthen brand visibility and project pipelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- 7+ years in operations, business development, or general management roles within energy, infrastructure, or engineering sectors.
- Technical background, preferably in solar or renewable energy systems.
- Proven leadership experience at senior or managerial level.
- Demonstrated experience working across regional and international markets.
- Experience with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Dynamics).
- Minimum of a BA/BSc/HND qualification.
