Job Description
AA Kenya is the oldest and largest automobile association in Kenya with over 100,000 members and branch offices in all major towns countrywide. The Head of ICT will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the organization's technological infrastructure and digital initiatives. This role involves managing enterprise systems, ensuring robust governance and security compliance, and driving performance improvements across all ICT functions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Technology Leadership: Define and implement the long-term IT strategy and roadmap that aligns with the business goals of AA Kenya.
Enterprise Systems Management: Oversee the management and optimization of the organization's software applications and enterprise-wide systems.
Governance, Security & Compliance: Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, ensuring cybersecurity protocols and regulatory compliance.
Performance Management: Monitor and enhance the efficiency, reliability, and performance of IT systems and services.
Budgeting and Procurement: Manage the ICT department's budget and coordinate the procurement of hardware, software, and external services.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business IT, Software Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is considered an added advantage.
Experience: At least 10 years' experience in software development or systems management, with at least three (3) years in a senior leadership level.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and ICT infrastructure.
Project Management: Demonstrated knowledge of ICT systems project management.
Certifications: ICT professional certification is an added advantage.
Professional Membership: Active membership in a recognized professional IT body.
