Head of Finance and Administration

About the Role

Demulla, established in 2017, is a leading micro-lending institution providing innovative financial solutions to micro and small businesses. We leverage a deep understanding of consumer behavior and the unique needs of micro-enterprises, alongside a highly skilled team with extensive experience, to deliver tech-driven financial services.

The Head of Finance and Administration will lead the company's financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and risk management. This role is responsible for overseeing reporting, treasury, taxation, audit, compliance, and building a high-performing finance team.

Compensation

• Gross Salary: KSh 150,000–250,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance, and risk management.
• Oversee financial reporting, treasury, taxation, audit, and compliance.
• Improve profitability, cost efficiency, and resource allocation.
• Strengthen financial systems, automation, and administrative processes.
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.
• Provide strategic financial advice to management and the board.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
• CPA(K) qualification and active ICPAK membership.
• At least 8 years’ relevant experience, including 3 years in senior leadership.
• Experience in fintech, microfinance, banking, or lending is an added advantage.
• Strong strategic, analytical, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to relocate to and work from Kakamega.
