Incredo is a non-deposit taking microfinance institution registered as a private limited company incorporated in 2014 with its Head Office located in Thika Town. As the Head of Credit, you will be responsible for leading the credit department, ensuring the quality of the loan portfolio, and managing credit underwriting and recovery processes to maintain institutional financial health.
Responsibilities
Oversee the end-to-end credit underwriting process to ensure high-quality loan approvals.
Manage the loan portfolio and implement strategies to minimize non-performing loans (NPLs).
Lead the recoveries team and coordinate debt collection activities.
Supervise and mentor the credit staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Ensure compliance with internal lending policies and external regulatory requirements.
Utilize and manage credit management systems to monitor performance and generate reports.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
CPA (K), ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification (this is an added advantage).
5–7 years’ relevant experience in credit, lending, banking, or the microfinance sector.
At least 2–3 years in a senior credit or supervisory role.
Strong expertise in credit underwriting, portfolio management, and recoveries.
Proficiency in MS Office and specialized credit management systems.
