We are seeking a full-time Head of Collections to lead and optimize our collections operations at Collection Africa Limited. Based in Nairobi County, Kenya, this is an on-site role responsible for overseeing the effectiveness of the debt recovery processes, managing a team of collection professionals, and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Design: Developing and implementing comprehensive collection strategies to maximize debt recovery and optimize results.
Performance Monitoring: Analyzing key performance metrics and monitoring the results of recovery processes to ensure efficiency.
Team Management: Leading, mentoring, and motivating a large team of collection professionals to achieve operational excellence.
Compliance: Ensuring all collection activities and strategies adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies.
Stakeholder Liaison: Liaising with clients to provide strategic guidance and foster strong relationships that protect customer trust.
Multi-location Management: Effectively managing operations across multiple locations if required.
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: Extensive professional experience in Debt Collection and Collections Management.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is considered an added advantage.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Leadership: Proven skills in team leadership, including the ability to manage and motivate large teams.
Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of finance principles related to credit management and debt recovery.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, high-level negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of debt recovery technology and industry-standard tools is beneficial.
