Role Overview
As Head of Centre of Excellence & Technical Implementation Lead, you will spearhead the design, delivery, and scaling of digital transformation initiatives that drive measurable impact across the organisation. You will serve as the technical authority for AI adoption, workflow automation, and systems implementation, while building the capabilities and standards that empower teams to work smarter. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, making it central to how the organisation modernises and grows.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and lead a Centre of Excellence that sets best practices, standards, and frameworks for digital transformation and technical implementation.
Design and deliver AI and workflow automation solutions, overseeing projects from scoping through to successful rollout and adoption.
Lead end-to-end systems implementations, ensuring integrations are robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
Champion digital skills development by mentoring teams, running enablement programmes, and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Partner with senior stakeholders to translate strategic goals into actionable technical roadmaps and prioritised delivery plans.
Monitor performance, measure impact, and iterate on solutions to ensure sustained value and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements
BA/BSc/HND qualification.
5-8 years of experience in digital transformation, systems implementation, or technical delivery, including hands-on project leadership.
Proven expertise in AI and workflow automation, with a track record of deploying solutions that improve efficiency and outcomes.
Strong technical implementation skills, including experience integrating and rolling out enterprise systems.
Demonstrated ability to build capability and drive digital skills adoption across diverse teams.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
Willingness to work on-site in Kenya (Africa/Nairobi, UTC+3).
Nice to Have
Experience establishing or leading a Centre of Excellence or similar practice function.
Relevant certifications in project management, systems implementation, or AI/automation platforms.
Exposure to digital transformation initiatives within the East African market.
